The first Gravel event in Umbria on the old SpoletoNorcia railway
WHAT, WHERE, WHEN...
The SpoletoNorcia Gravel is a cycle-excursion on mixed asphalted and dirt roads, with regular slopes and without technical off-road passages. It is not a race, there is no ranking and no time limit, La SpoletoNorcia Gravel is an excellent opportunity to visit places not involved in the September La SpoletoNorcia MTB route. The long route, considering the distances and height differences, requires good physical preparation.

THE ROUTES
Four tracks (short, medium, medium plus and long) with fabulous itineraries that will start from the lower Valnerina in the direction of the Marmore Falls. It is possible to enroll in the medium plus path by choosing the medium path
at the time of registration, on the Winning Time platform. The choice of the medium plus route must be communicated on the day of the event.
SHORT
Quest’anno anche il Corto si articolerà per buona parte sul tracciato della Ferrovia SpoletoNorcia, in particolare sui tratti da S. Anatolia e Caprareccia e tra Piedipaterno e S. Anatolia. Pendenze molto regolari, fondo sterrato compatto a salire, asfalto a scendere, strade 100% secondarie e senza traffico, zero difficoltà tecniche. Con i suoi 34 km e 600 mt dsl, è adatto anche a chi è poco allenato o a chi vuole farsi una girata senza stress ed essere sicuro di infilare le gambe sotto il tavolo per pranzo già docciato.
MEDIUM
Il Medio avrà in comune con il Corto il tratto iniziale fino a Caprareccia, per poi seguire su una carrareccia con vista super che vi porterà a Spoleto. Si risale sulle Ferrovia e poi asfalto fino a forca di Cerro, per proseguire a Meggiano fin quasi a 900 mt di quota. Discesa a Cerreto di Spoleto e rientro a Scheggino sempre lungo la Ferrovia. Pendenze anche qui regolari con pochi strappi, fondo misto asfaltato e sterrato, con qualche mulattiera comunque scorrevole. Con i suoi 72 km e 1550 mt dsl è un percorso ben bilanciato, che suggeriamo a tutti e che darà soddisfazione anche ai bikers più smaliziati. Gli ultimi 28 km saranno in discesa o pressochè in piano, per consentirvi un rientro in tranquillità e godervi le bellezze paesaggistiche della Valnerina.
LONG
Il Lungo seguirà la traccia del Medio fino a Cerreto di Spoleto, ma da lì in avanti non si scherza, la strada inizierà a salire senza sosta portandovi a quasi 1200 mt fino alle pendici del Monte Metano, per poi riscendere nello splendido borgo di Vallo di Nera e rientrare a Scheggino. Salite sempre regolari ma piuttosto lunghe nella seconda metà del percorso, fondo misto asfaltato e sterrato, con qualche mulattiera comunque scorrevole. Con i suoi 97 km e 2500 mt dsl rappresenta la nostra sfida ai partecipanti più allenati ed ardimentosi, che comunque verranno ripagati dalla splendida vista sulla Valnerina e dai borghi ed eremi che incontraranno lungo il viaggio.

From 21 February to 5 June it will be possible to buy the shirt at a cost of 35 Euros instead of 45 Euros.
The shirts can be booked at the time of registration directly from the Winning Time portal and will only be available in the quantity and size chosen during pre-registration.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to make substitutions and size changes.

RULES & REGULATION
The SpoletoNorcia Gravel is an Event non-competitive cycling tour which will take place on Sunday 11 June 2023 in Scheggino, Perugia, Italy.
The event aims to promote the tourism in the area of Valnerina and its landscape, the cultural aspect, the food and wine excellences.
The collection of the race packs will take place:
• Saturday 10 June 2023, from 15:00 to 19:00 at the place and in the manner that will be communicated later
• Sunday 11 June 2023, from 7:00 to 8:30 in Piazza Urbani in Scheggino
The departure will take place from Piazza Urbani in Scheggino at the following times:
• 8.30 am: Medium/medium plus/long route
• 9.00 am: Short route

On the occasion of La SpoletoNorcia Gravel on 11 June 2023, La
SpoletoNorcia has thought of a special proposal with various types of tourist facilities, for one or more nights, to offer the possibility of enjoying the event to the fullest and, at the same time, discovering the beauties of Scheggino and of the whole territory of this corner of Umbria.
